PetSmart

Featured Work

Art Direction, Design, Branding, Campaigns & Photoshoot Direction

I spent nearly four years at PetSmart as a Senior Designer and Art Director, leading and designing creative across private-label brands, seasonal campaigns, and product launches. I worked cross-functionally with teams from marketing, web, UX, packaging, and store design to bring cohesive brand stories to life across in-store, digital, and social platforms.

I also contributed to creative for PetSmart Charities and helped define branding and storytelling for PetSmart Services. Below is a selection of featured work from my time with the company.

Brand & Evergreen Campaigns

I contributed to early strategy and brainstorming meetings and subsequent rollout creative for the Anything for Pets brand system that is now the brand identity for all stores and master brand materials. Throughout my role, I supported internal master brand launches, POS and interior and exterior store design, and evergreen visuals for digital and print campaigns. Through this, I concepted and led the asset creation with my team through in-studio and on-location photo and video shoots.

Seasonal & Signature Campaigns

From major holiday campaigns to recurring initiatives like The New Pet Place, I played a key role in creative concepting, art direction of photoshoots, and design for in-store and digital rollouts. I built full branding toolkits, designed signage and assets, and directed campaign photography that balanced warmth, clarity, and brand consistency.

Halloween — My team and I led art direction on multiple years of photoshoots including production, casting and costume fittings. Following asset selection, we would lead the campaign team to product the print and digital catalog, landing page and email sends.

Simply Nourish

Product Rebrand Launch Campaign

I helped lead the relaunch of PetSmart’s proprietary food line, Simply Nourish. I served as co-Art Director for an on-location photoshoot in Santa Rosa, CA — where we built a faux farmers market in the downtown square and captured multiple scenes at a nearby vineyard estate. The layered visual storytelling helped support refreshed packaging, laid the foundation for new in-store merchandising, and multiple rebrand tactics in both print and digital content.

Arcadia Trail

Art Direction, Photo and Video Assets, Product Styling & Brand Integration

  • Led multiple lifestyle and product shoots for the initial launch and then continuation of PetSmart’s outdoor gear line.

  • Oversaw casting, styling, and production across several locations — including a multi-day shoot I was the lead for in Sedona, AZ.

  • Integrated packaging design cues into visual storytelling through props, wardrobe, and locations.

  • Helped concept and design launch materials including digital and print catalogues, PDP pages and web banners, email sends and social media.

  • The launch campaign contributed to over $1M in first-year sales.

PetSmart at Home

Art Direction, Set Design, Visual Direction & Launch Asset Development

Directed creative assets for the PetSmart at Home launch, which featured five curated product lines tailored to distinct interior design styles. We built and styled five full-room sets in just two days, followed by an intensive three-day shoot. I led set design, casting, and photography direction, and created digital banners and web content to support the launch across platforms.
